How to Donate Materials
Friends of the Billings Public Library welcomes donations of quality used books, DVDs, CDs and audiobooks, which will be sold in the Book Nook or at our community Book Sales.
Please bring donations to the Friends’ workroom next to the Sweet Café Monday through Friday, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. If the workroom is closed, donations may be left on the designated shelves in the Book Nook. For large donations call 237-6170 to arrange pickup or delivery.
Donations are Tax Deductible
The Friends of the Library is a 501(c)3 charity, and donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law. Receipts are available upon request.
Please Don’t Bring These Materials
We are unable to accept the following materials:
- Outdated non-fiction (before 2010)
- Text books
- VHS tapes or audio cassettes
- Material in poor condition—books that are musty, moldy, yellowed, water damaged, torn, or with excessive writing
Your Donations Support Literacy and the Library
Proceeds from the sale of donated material are re-invested in library programming, library materials, and literacy efforts throughout the Billings community.
